We are lucky enough to be located on the historic River Thames. To take advantage of that we have many activities involving the river listed below!

Visit by the Lord Mayor of the City of London

to Staines-upon-Thames Day 2024

We are absolutely delighted to be hosting this visit of the Lord Mayor of the City of London to Staines-upon-Thames on Sunday 30th June.

The Mayor will be arriving at 11.30 am with a flotilla of motorised and non-motorised boats, to meet the Mayor of Spelthorne at the London Stone, on the bank at Memorial Gardens followed by a spectacular salute past the Mayor which you can view from the bridge or the riverbank at the Slug and Lettuce.

Buy a rubber duck from memorial gardens and watch as the ducks come rushing down the river and into the Thames!

French Brothers Boats

French Brothers will be running boat trips all day from the centre of Memorial Gardens.

Staines & Egham Sea Cadets/Surrey Canoe Club

Staines and Egham Sea Cadets and Surrey Canoe Club will be on the riverbank offering information about kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding and offering taster sessions for all. Find out more about the fun you can have on the river.
